Mr. Korn has authored numerous articles on tax law and lectures widely. His clients include individuals and companies throughout the U.S., Asia, and the Caribbean, as well as several prominent real estate and investment funds. Mr. Korn has extensive experience in complex tax structuring and reorganizations. He has particular interest in structuring real estate projects for tax efficiency and tax savings. Mr. Korn also takes special interest in representing individuals and charitable and educational organizations on a pro bono basis.
Mr. Korn received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he was Articles Editor of the Journal of Labor and Employment Law. Mr. Korn attended the Brandeis University School of Arts and Sciences on the Justice Louis D. Brandeis Merit Scholarship, and graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa and as University Scholar (Valedictorian).
Mr. Korn is admitted to practice in New York, Florida, the U.S. Tax Court, and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. Mr. Korn is also a member of the Collier County Bar Association, is a former member of the Committee on Professional Discipline for the New York State Bar Association, and is a former member of the Legal Committee overseeing the Pelican Bay Foundation.

Mr. Kalish represents both strategic and financial market participants, private equity funding sources, boards of directors and key management personnel, as well as individuals in a variety of transactions and projects. Mr. Kalish’s work in the private equity field includes representing both companies and venture capital investors. Mr. Kalish regularly serves as outside general counsel to clients in a variety of industries.
Prior to forming Michael G. Kalish, P.L. and co-founding Korn & Kalish LLP, Mr. Kalish was Of Counsel to the Capital Markets Group of the New York office of Morrison & Foerster, LLP, an associate in the New York office of Morrison Cohen LLP, an associate in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP and an associate in the Washington D.C. office of Baker & McKenzie LLP.
Mr. Kalish received his B.A., summa cum laude, with Honors in Economics from Brandeis University in 1994 and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He received his J.D., with honors, from The George Washington University Law School in 1997.

martinkalish@kornkalish.comDr. Kalish represents, physicians, physician groups, hospitals and businesses engaged in the healthcare industry. He also represents clients in issues involving the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and their Office of Inspector General, and before state licensing boards and medical disciplinary boards. Additionally, he advises and participates in hospital-physician credentialing matters, medical staff bylaws-related issues, peer review matters and corrective action proceedings.
With an emphasis on state and federal regulatory analysis, Dr. Kalish also assists clients in judicial and administrative proceedings. He also advises on the structuring and restructuring of transactions to comply with health care regulations and assists in the defense of clients who are the target of health care fraud investigations.
Dr. Kalish received his B.A. from Brandeis University, magna cum laude, his M.D. from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, and his J.D. cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law. Dr. Kalish received his training in Internal Medicine at the Bronx Municipal Hospital Center / Albert Einstein College of Medicine and competed his Fellowship in Rheumatology at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He was also a Clinical Associate at the National Institutes of Health. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and a Diplomate in the Subspecialty of Rheumatology. Dr. Kalish has held faculty appointments at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and the University of Miami School of Medicine.
During his lengthy legal career prior to joining Korn & Kalish LLP, Dr. Kalish was associated with several national law firms including Wood, Lucksinger & Epstein, Shea & Gould, Baker McKenzie, Zuckerman Spaeder, and Saul Ewing as a member of their national health care practices.

She brings to her national clients over 25 years of experience as a trial attorney, skilled strategist, effective negotiator, and dynamic educator.
Ms. Shoter has extensive knowledge about the long-term care industry and was appointed by the ABA Health Law Section to lead several national Task Forces from 2012-2019. She has tried cases in federal and state courts, and argued cases before appellate courts, arbitrators, mediators, administrative judges, medical review panels, and licensure boards. She speaks nationwide, and routinely provides guidance and training to nursing facilities, medical practices, healthcare professionals, attorneys, and insurance adjusters.
She has received many professional recognitions, including election to The Fellows of the American Bar Foundation (1% per jurisdiction) and peer-selected four times to Kentucky Super Lawyers® (top 5%). Awards include Continuing Legal Education, Boss of the Year, and Hardest Working Attorney.
